Detroit’s Favorite Halloween Moped Tradition
The MCR Zombie Ride is one of Motor City Riot’s longest-running traditions, dating all the way back to 2011. Over the years it’s become our unofficial Halloween mini-rally, bringing together riders, friends, and anyone looking for a memorable night in Detroit.
Show up early, throw on your zombie makeup, crack open a beverage, and get ready for an evening of spooky fun.
We’ll head out on a short, relaxed ride through Corktown, Downtown, and Midtown, giving unsuspecting pedestrians and bar patrons a proper zombie invasion before making our way back to the shop for a late-night party.
Costumes Encouraged!
Come dressed to impress… or terrify.

Whether you’re undead, unhinged, or just wearing fake blood, we want to see your best Halloween look.
Ride Information
The ride is open to anyone whose machine can comfortably maintain at least 25 mph for approximately 10 miles.
Bring whatever you’ve got:
- Mopeds
- Scooters
- Onyx bikes
- Sur-Rons
- Onewheels
- EUCs
- Motorcycles
- Even your truck or van if you’d like to serve as a chase vehicle
Not riding? No problem.
You’re welcome to come straight to the shop and hang out. There will be plenty of people staying behind to keep the party going while the ride is out.
Food, Drinks & Good Company
Admission is free.
We’ll have a cash bar with proceeds helping support the club’s winter expenses and future events. It’s also a great opportunity to check out the MCR clubhouse, meet local riders, and get to know Detroit’s moped community.
Staying the Night?
If you’re visiting from out of town, or simply shouldn’t be driving home afterward, we’ve got you covered.
The field next to the shop is available for:
- RVs
- Camper vans
- Party buses
Inside the shop you’ll also find a few couches and plenty of dark corners to crash for the night.
