Moped Monday: Labor Day Extravaganza 2023

Summer may be winding down, but we’re not letting it go quietly.

Motor City Riot (MCR) and Detroit Moped Works (DMW) are teaming up for an all-day Labor Day celebration packed with great people, great food, and of course, great riding. Join us at the MCR Detroit Clubhouse, affectionately known as the “New Nastee,” for one last big summer bash.

Whether you’re showing up on a freshly tuned moped, riding in with friends, or simply stopping by to hang out, everyone’s welcome.

Ride, Relax, Repeat

We’ll be taking a group ride through the Detroit area before returning to the clubhouse for an afternoon of food, laughs, and good company. Expect plenty of two-stroke smoke, stories from the road, and the kind of community that keeps us coming back every Monday.

Not riding? No problem.

This is just as much about spending time together as it is about twisting the throttle. Bring a chair, hang out in the yard, catch up with old friends, and meet a few new ones.

BBQ & Potluck

We’ll have the grill fired up with plenty of BBQ favorites and cold drinks to keep everyone fueled throughout the day.

Want to contribute? Bring your favorite side dish, dessert, snack, or beverage to share. Potlucks always turn into the best feasts, and every contribution helps make the day even better.

Labor Day has become one of our favorite excuses to gather everyone together before the riding season starts winding down. Whether you’ve been riding with MCR for years or this is your first event, we’d love to have you join us.

Come for the ride. Stay for the food. Leave with a full stomach, new stories, and probably the smell of two-stroke oil on your clothes.
