MCR Detroit St. Patrick’s day Parade; riding season opener (3/16/2025)

MCR Detroit St. Patrick’s Day Parade & Riding Season Opener

It’s finally time to shake off the winter dust and kick off another riding season!

Join Motor City Riot for one of our longest-running traditions as we gather at the MCR clubhouse before heading out to the Detroit St. Patrick’s Day Parade. From there, we’ll spend the day riding around town, hopping between a few favorite bars, and celebrating the start of another season on two wheels.

Schedule

10:00 AM
The MCR shop opens! Stop by for fresh coffee, espresso drinks, and doughnuts before we hit the road.

Ride to the Parade
The parade on Michigan Avenue begins at 1:00 PM, so we’ll roll out beforehand to grab a good spot. After watching the parade, we’ll continue the tradition with a ride around town, a few bar stops, and eventually make our way back to the clubhouse.

Back at the Shop
We’ll wrap up the day with more food, coffee, and adult beverages. It’s the perfect way to celebrate the beginning of another season.

A Few Things to Know

  • Plan for extra travel time getting to the clubhouse. Many roads will be closed due to the parade.
  • This is a relaxed, weather-dependent ride. The route and timing may change based on attendance, traffic, and conditions.
  • If you’re meeting us later, we usually watch the parade from the north side of Michigan Avenue & Trumbull.

If the weather is warm and sunny, expect lots of riding. If Mother Nature decides winter isn’t finished yet, we’ll spend a little more time warming up in local bars. Either way, it’s always a great day with great people.

We can’t wait to kick off another season with everyone. See you there!

First Time Visiting?

If you’ve never been to the MCR clubhouse before, send us a message and let us know you’re coming! We’ll make sure you know where to go, answer any questions you have, and help you feel right at home.

New riders and new faces are always welcome.
